Ty Rogers is Of Counsel to the firm.  A commercial litigator with extensive experience litigating business, contract and real estate disputes, Ty’s practice also includes creditor/debtor matters, intellectual property
disputes and commercial judgment enforcement.  Ty began his legal career in 1991 as a bankruptcy associate at Lord Day & Lord, Barrett Smith and later at Brown Raysman & Millstein LLP.  In 1996, Ty moved to Gallet Dreyer & Berkey, LLP, where he met Ray and expanded his practice to general civil and commercial litigation in state and federal courts.
 
Ty is a graduate of the New York University School of Law.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
 
Outside of his law practice, Ty is actively involved in lay diplomacy activities and is a member of the Diplomatic Outreach Committee at the American Jewish Committee in Manhattan.  In 2001, Ty coordinated with Polish government officials on commemorating the Jewish population of his grandfather's hometown, Jedwabne, Poland, which was massacred 60 years earlier during the Holocaust.   He is a longtime Forest Hills resident and makes his home here with his wife and daughter.  His hobbies include travel, distance biking, hiking, genealogy and map collecting.
